If you’re looking to pick up the HTC EVO 4G, the HTC Inspire 4G, or the Motorola ATRIX 4G soon, consider what Radio Shack has to offer. The EVO 4G can be had for $200 but only after trading in your own device for a guaranteed $50 store credit. Two high-end Androids from AT&T are also up for grabs, too, with the HTC Inspire 4G and the Motorola ATRIX 4G comig in at $50 and $100, respectively.
The promotion begins May 1st and ends May 7th. Not the greatest deals (in fact Best Buy has the Atrix 4G for $30), but options are options. As a bonus, the Samsung Captivate for AT&T is being offered for free as part of their Mother’s Day sale between May 4th and May 8th.

The question on everyone’s mind this week following the crash of Verizon’s LTE network and the delay of the Samsung Droid Charge is "When will the phone finally go on sale?" If the above screen shot is any indication, Tuesday may be the day.
It looks like Costco is expecting to start getting the Droid Charge on Monday (it’ll either get a "Go" or a revised launch date on Monday, too), with a hard "do not sell" order until Tuesday. And all locations should be stocked by the end of the day on Wednesday.
So it’s not asking too much to read into this that the Droid Charge could be available to the general public — and not just at Costco — on Tuesday. We’ve certainly got our fingers crossed. While you wait, be sure to check out our initial review. And we’ve got one more pic after the break.
Thanks, Anon!

With its 2011 Xperia lineup, Sony Ericsson is looking to retain its position as one of the major players in the Android ecosystem. While last year’s (depending on your locale) Xperia X8 and X10 sold well, they were criticized by some for shipping with an outdated version of Android, as well as a variety of software issues.
The Xperia Arc is Sony Ericsson’s new flagship phone, representing the manufacturer’s next step in its quest for Android dominance. It’s a faster, sleeker, lighter device that’s running the latest version of Android out of the box (well, give or take a minor point release). And some interesting multimedia inclusions from Sony give it strong entertainment credentials.
But has Sony Ericsson done enough to compete with recent offerings from the likes of Samsung and HTC? Read on to find out, as we take a closer look at the Xperia Arc.

Remember that HTC ThunderBolt ROM that leaked out a few days ago? Looks like Verizon’s getting ready to push it (or something close to it?), as Android Central Forums member jim302 spotted that the release notes have been posted in the usual place and the build numbers match up. Here’s the changelog:
Web Browsing and Data Access
- Enhanced data connectivity when accessing the Verizon 3G network
Email and Messaging
- SMS and MMS messages are stored properly in the Messaging
- Application (Inbox, Sent, etc.).
Additional Device Features
- Timing for device activation has been improved.
- “Backup Assistant” is correctly displayed in the Application menu.
- Stability improvements for data centric applications such as
- Facebook, KAYAK, Yahoo! Mail, My Verizon and more.
- Accurate location is displayed when accessing the Weather Widget
- Quickly load GPS updates for Google Maps and VZ Navigator™.
Look for it to push out, oh, any time now, we suppose.
