We Android users have had the advantage of using flash on our devices for a very long time. However, Adobe has come out and announced two things. First off, they will not be supporting Flash on any Jelly Bean devices, which brings us to the second announcement: Installs of Flash for Android will end completely on August 15th.

On Adobe’s website, they wrote:

“We will use the configuration settings in the Google Play Store to limit continued access to Flash Player updates to only those devices that have Flash Player already installed. Devices that do not have Flash Player already installed are increasingly likely to be incompatible with Flash Player and will no longer be able to install it from the Google Play Store after August 15th.”

Adobe will, however, continue to develop Flash on PCs. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments.

I’ll say this of GameStop: they’ve done an excellent job of seeing the writing on the wall regarding the future of gaming and adapting their sales structure accordingly. Recognizing the growing trend of mobile gaming and then carrying the products that play those games was a smart move. In that vein, the company has announced that they’ll be carrying Google’s new Nexus 7 tablet and they’ve got the device up for pre-order, though the only one I saw was the 16 GB version for $249.99. While I would personally rather get it from Google at the source, it’s great to see that there’s going to be plenty of mainstream purchase options to get the device into as many hands as possible. Remember, more market share equals more development!

Hit up the link below to preorder your Nexus 7 from GameStop, and let us know in the comments: Have you already ordered your Nexus 7 and if not, are you planning on getting one?

Now that Jelly Bean has been announced, everyone wants to know… will their phone be getting the update – and, if so, when? HTC has heard the question, and has responded:

“We are excited about Android Jelly Bean and are planning to support it across a variety of our devices.  We are reviewing the software to determine our upgrade plans and schedule, so please stay tuned for more updates on specific device upgrade plans.”

Chances are, the HTC One line of phones will see the update. As far as other phones, however, we just don’t know, but will wait to hear further from HTC.
