The slight delay is over and the HTC EVO 4G LTE is back on track for its Sprint launch. Word hitting the internet just now is that delivery is expected at Sprint warehouses on May 24th and that pre-order cancellations will have been suspended by the time you read this. According to Inside Sprint Now (managed by a customer service division rep), the Android 4.0 handset has been cleared at the border. Less than a week delay is not so bad, huh?

HTC EVO 4G LTE en route to Sprint, delivery expected this week originally appeared on AndroidGuys.

The official Radio Shack Twitter account outed a rather sexy looking HTC EVO 3D set to arrive exclusively at Radio Shack stores in a couple of weeks. While I personally don’t get too excited over these “rare,” “exclusive,” white devices, I have to admit that EVO 3D looks HAWT! Sprint customers looking to upgrade may want to jump on this because even though it’s got the looks, it also has some killer hardware. EVO 3D owners already know what I’m talking about but here are some specs for a quick reminder:

  • Processor – MSM8660 (1.2 GHz Dual Core processor) + SQN1210 (WiMAX)
  • Operating System – Shipped: Android™ 2.3 (Gingerbread), Current: Android™ 2.3 (Gingerbread) ROM version:1.13.651.7
  • Internal Memory – 4GB eMMC / RAM 1GB
  • Display – 4.3″ inch Super LCD 540×960 QHD resolution 3D display
  • 3D Compatibility – 3D Capture and playback for photos and videos; display downloaded content formatted in 3D; stream 3D content wirelessly to 3D TV
  • Network – CDMA2000 1x/ EVDO rev. 0/ EVDO rev. A network and 4G WIMAX
  • GPS – GPS/AGPS
  • Camera – Two 5 MP Color CMOS with auto focus for 3D; 5 MP Color CMOS with auto focus for 2D; 1.3 MP Color CMOS Front Camera

To the delight of developers and Android enthusiasts, Sprint’s EVO 3D has joined the Sensation (EU) as being supported an unlockable bootloader.  If you’re the type of person who simply must tinker with your phone, head to HTCDev.com and follow the step-by-step instructions.  Please note that in order to unlock your EVO 3D’s  bootloader, you’ll need to be running the latest software (2.08.651.2) on your phone first.  Update yourself by going to Settings>System Updates>Firmware Update.

HTC has been good on their promises thus far so we expect to see T-Mobile’s Sensation 4G show up in the next few weeks.
