Recently, we showed you a leaked shot of the LG Spectrum, which will be launched as a successor to LG Revolution. Now a new screenshot has been leaked, and it’s claiming that Verizon will launch the Spectrum along with a previously unknown HTC phone, the HTC Fireball. The Fireball could be the successor to Thunderbolt, but only time will tell. What’s more interesting is that both device are rumored to be the first ever LTE world phones, hence the “O” under the Global Phone column in the leaked Verizon inventory shot above. Non-global devices typically have an “N” under this column, so our best guess is that this means the Fireball and Spectrum will be released as global devices.

We hope to get our hands on a leaked shot of the Fireball soon, but there are no guarantees. As Verizon’s lineup of Android devices grows, it’ll be interesting to see how they handle the global front. By the look of that inventory shot, Big Red is trying to cover all the bases.

So even though not much is known about them, who’s excited about the Spectrum and Fireball? Sound off in the comments!

You know those leaked Samsung phones from yesterday? You know what we’re talking about, the half dozen Android products on the horizon, including an Ice Cream Sandwich handset.  It turns out that enough noise was made about these guys on the internet yesterday to elicit a response from Samsung.  Posting on their official blog last night, the hardware maker poured a little cold water on the rumors but did not flat out deny them.

Some media have been reporting that Samsung is preparing to launch nine new smartphones and two new tablet devices. While Samsung is continuously working on new devices for our customers, the details being cited are not accurate in this case.  We appreciate the interest in our upcoming mobile devices and will share more information once its available. – Samsung

So there you have it.  Yes, they are working on new stuff. As to exactly what stuff that is remains to be seen.  We have a feeling that the leaks were more right than wrong and that Samsung is simply not ready to unveil the devices.

What does your gut tell you?

Respect knuckles to Androinica for the heads up.
