CyanogenMod introduced us to CM9 which was based off of Ice Cream Sandwich, within CM9 they a few new tweaks they would put into their ROM’s. One of which was the Apollo music player. Which is a beautiful looking holo-themed music player for your device. It works on phones but isn’t yet optimized for tablets, and it’s now available in the Play Store. So you can download and install it without rooting or flashing a custom ROM.
We may still be a few days away from the Galaxy Note hitting AT&T stores around the country but that doesn’t mean Samsung is sitting around twiddling their thumbs. A new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for the Galaxy Note has leaked online this week which looks to be the real deal. According to a number of folks at XDA-developer forums the ROM appears to be fully functional, including camera and Bluetooth. It stands to reason that this is a final build as it’s already expected to roll out in March.
Of course this is strictly for the international flavor of the handset and not the carrier-branded AT&T model. We cannot imagine, however, that it will be very long before it gets ported over.

Want to see what HTC might have in store for Sense 3.5 devices running Android 4.0? Take a look at the screen shots and accompanying ROM which comes courtesy of the XDA forum. Thanks to a leaked RUU (firmware file) for the Sensation and the Sensation XE, we have an early indication as to how Ice Cream Sandwich will play with the custom launcher.
To be clear, this is not the exact release that we can expect to see roll out over the next few months. The developer has made some minor adjustments to the file to help keep the leak source anonymous so your results may vary. A quick poke through the numerous pages on the forum thread indicate that things work pretty well with very few issues. It’s certainly worth pointing out that the ROM is compatible only with the Sensation and Sensation XE, and naturally requires root access.

This one is a treat — Peter Alfonso is a developer a lot of you guys already know, and now he is working with the NS4G to see what he can squeeze out of it. Hit the break and see what Pete has done with the blank slate Google and Sprint has given us.

He gives us a nice look at SkyRaider Sense for his Dinc, it’s a solid Froyo based Sense ROM with a Gingerbread look and feel.
