Want to see what HTC might have in store for Sense 3.5 devices running Android 4.0?  Take a look at the screen shots and accompanying ROM which comes courtesy of the XDA forum.  Thanks to a leaked RUU (firmware file) for the Sensation and the Sensation XE, we have an early indication as to how Ice Cream Sandwich will play with the custom launcher.

To be clear, this is not the exact release that we can expect to see roll out over the next few months.  The developer has made some minor adjustments to the file to help keep the leak source anonymous so your results may vary.  A quick poke through the numerous pages on the forum thread indicate that things work pretty well with very few issues.  It’s certainly worth pointing out that the ROM is compatible only with the Sensation and Sensation XE, and naturally requires root access.

Android Central

We’re back with another ROM review, and Android Central forums adviser PvilleComp and his Dinc have returned.  This time we’re going to have a look at Nils’ Business GingerSense.  It’s based on Android 2.3.3, and HTC Sense 3.0 — proving the point that Android developers can bring what the OEM’s can’t and keep your phone cruising along with the latest software.  See what all the fuss is about, after the break.

GPA17

We love reader-submitted ROM reviews, and once again we have Android Central member digitalslacker and his the Nexus S 4G, bringing us a review of GPA for the Nexus S 4G.  This one is a treat — Peter Alfonso is a developer a lot of you guys already know, and now he is working with the NS4G to see what he can squeeze out of it. Hit the break and see what Pete has done with the blank slate Google and Sprint has given us.

Editor’s note: Like many custom ROMs, the nightly builds of GPA are always changing (that’s why they are called nightly!).  The current nightly version may have minor changes from the reviewed version, but the overall experience should remain the same.

SkyRaider Sense

This time around our friend and Android Central forums adviser PvilleComp is back, and he brought his trusty HTC Droid Incredible with him.  He gives us a nice look at SkyRaider Sense for his Dinc, it’s a solid Froyo based Sense ROM with a Gingerbread look and feel.  Add in a handful of Sense 2.0 widgets and it certainly looks like a very nice mix.  Hit the jump and see what he has to say about this one!

Oxygen ROM

We’re back with another reader submitted ROM review, this time around we have Android Central member digitalslacker showing some love for the Nexus S 4G with a great review of Oxygen ROM.  I’ve used this one for the GSM flavor of the Nexus S, and he hits it right on the head with his review — a sweet ROM for a sweet phone.  Hit the jump and check it out.

While some folks swoon over HTC Sense, there is a good amount of people out there who just simply do not like it. This is yet another one of those great things about the Android platform — if you don’t like something, chances are someone will make a build of it that you will like. Such is the case for the HTC Thunderbolt this time around.

Das BAMF being one of the most popular ROMs for the Thunderbolt has now been stripped of most of its HTC Sense components and we’re left with BAMF GingerBolt Sense 3.0 stripped that makes use of the MR2.5 Gingerbread radio and other nice things such as the Das Bamf Toolkit. The developer behind this, TMZ_Andrew, has posted the nitty gritty details in the Android Central forums so if you’re looking to go senseless on your Thunderbolt you’ll certainly want to check it out and be sure to leave some feedback — it is a beta though so keep that in mind.
